Advocacy

The Road to Advocacy

We aim to bring greater awareness to the far reaching impact of trauma, and promote policies and practices that prioritize trauma-informed care, fostering resilience, post-traumatic growth & healing for individuals and communities.

Follow us to learn more about trauma, resilience and posttraumatic growth as we seek to inform persons from all walks of life and the professional spectrum about the effects of trauma & its correlates, and provide guidance on how taking a trauma-informed approach can help create healthy individuals, families, workplaces, communities, and the nation.

Tuff It Out & Buil'

Welcome to the Tuff It Out And Buil' Video Series. Through this video series we introduce trauma resiliency skills - Check Yuhself, Use Weh Yuh Have and Tun It Up, Hol' A Medz, Move Wid Di Vibez, Duh Suppm, and Switch It Up.

These skills are helpful for mental health professionals, educators, parents, and children or just about anyone who is seeking to understand trauma better and how to achieve a sense of feeling calm and safe to function more healthily.

Unheard Podcast

Unheard is a real-talk podcast  hosted by Associate Clinical Psychologist Verol Billett and Associate Counselling Psychologist Jason Henry.

We’re holding space for the voices, struggles, and stories of men that too often go untold. Each episode dives deep into the issues affecting Caribbean men—from stress, stigma, and masculinity to healing, identity, and fatherhood. Through raw conversations, expert insight, and a little humour, Unheard breaks the silence so that more of us can find strength, self-awareness, and support.

Informing Policy

Bridging research and real-world impact, we strive to shape informed, effective policies that address pressing issues, drive positive change, and enhance the well-being of individuals and communities.

Towards a Trauma-Informed Society

Advocating for empathy, understanding, and transformative policies to create a compassionate environment that recognizes, respects, and supports individuals on their journey to healing.

Forming Alliances with Local & Regional Bodies

We actively engage with local and regional bodies to build collaborative partnerships, leveraging collective efforts towards a trauma-informed approach for comprehensive community well-being.
